Moreno Valley's M to be Illuminated for Hispanic Heritage Month

Moreno Valley's iconic M on Box Springs Mountain will be lit red, orange, purple, blue, and green in an alternating format on Thursday, September 16 to commemorate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, celebrates the achievements, cultures and contributions of Hispanic/Latino Americans throughout our country's history. The colors pay tribute to the many Hispanic/Latino cultures and nationalities, some of which celebrate their independence days during Hispanic Heritage Month.
"Our Hispanic/Latino residents and business leaders are such an important part of this wonderful City," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "As a member of this community, I am thrilled to shine a light on the contributions we have made not only to Moreno Valley, but to all of America."

La M de Moreno Valley será iluminada por el Mes de la Herencia Hispana
La icónica M de Moreno Valley en Box Springs Mountain se iluminará en rojo, naranja, morado, azul y verde en un formato alterno el jueves 16 de septiembre para conmemorar el inicio del Mes de la Herencia Hispana.
El Mes de la Herencia Hispana, que se extiende del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre, celebra los logros, culturas y contribuciones de los hispanos/latinoamericanos a lo largo de la historia de nuestro país. Los colores rinden tributo a las muchas culturas y nacionalidades hispanas/latinas, algunas de las cuales celebran sus días de independencia durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana.
"Nuestros residentes hispanos/latinos y líderes empresariales son una parte tan importante de esta maravillosa Ciudad", dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutiérrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley. "Como miembro de esta comunidad, estoy encantado de lucir las contribuciones que hemos hecho no solo a Moreno Valley, sino a toda América".
