Moreno Valley Residents Invited to Share Their Halloween Spirit in Fun Holiday Events

For immediate release: October 6, 2020

In what could become new Moreno Valley traditions, the City is inviting residents to share their Halloween spirit by taking part in some super fun holiday events.

"There's something fun for just about everyone in these events," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "These are creative Halloween activities that the whole family can enjoy."

  • October 5-30
    Great Pumpkin Hunt
    Spot a pumpkin in a park, take a picture using the hashtag #MoValParks to win an enchanted prize. Helpful clues will be posted weekly on City of Moreno Valley’s social media pages.
     
  • October 19-25
    Howl O’ Ween Pet Contest
    Submission of pet photos dressed up in their best costume and posting a photo by October 25. Winners in four categories will receive a prize.
     
  • October 24
    MoVal Movies Drive-In Series
    A Halloween family-friendly drive-in movie event with a showing of "Hocus Pocus" (rated PG). Pre-registration required. Food vendors and portable restrooms will be available.
      Cost: $15/vehicle. 
    Time: Gates open at 7 p.m; movie begins at 8 p.m.
    Location: March Field Park 15450 4th St.
     
  • October 30
    Trick or Treat on Wheels
    FREE trick or treat event from the safety of your car.
    Families are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and become part of the drive-thru fun and maybe even win a prize! Event will include music, devilishly decorated vehicles, and special treats.
    Time: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
    Location: Conference & Recreation Center Parking Lot

Residentes de Moreno Valley invitados a compartir

En lo que podrían convertirse en nuevas tradiciones de Moreno Valley, la Ciudad está invitando a los residentes a compartir su espíritu de Halloween participando en algunos eventos festivos súper divertidos.

"Hay algo divertido para casi todos en estos eventos", dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley. "Estas son actividades creativas de Halloween que toda la familia puede disfrutar".

  • 5-30 de octubre
    Gran Caza de Calabazas
    Encuentre una calabaza en un parque, tome una foto con el hashtag #MoValParks para ganar un premio encantado. Se publicarán pistas útiles semanalmente en las páginas de redes sociales de la Ciudad de Moreno Valley.
     
  • 19-25 de octubre
    Concurso de mascotas Howl O ’Ween
    Envío de fotos de mascotas vestidas con su mejor disfraz y publicación de una foto antes del 25 de octubre. Los ganadores en cuatro categorías recibirán un premio.
     
  • 24 de octubre
    Serie Drive-In de Películas MoVal
    Un evento de cine drive-in familiar de Halloween con una proyección de "Hocus Pocus" (clasificado PG). Se requiere preinscripción. Habrá vendedores de comida y baños portátiles disponibles.
    Costo: $ 15/vehículo. Hora: Las puertas se abren a las 7 p.m; la película comienza a las 8 p.m.
    Ubicación: March Field Park 15450 4th St. 
     
  • 30 de octubre
    Truco o trato sobre ruedas
    Evento de truco o trato GRATIS desde la seguridad de su automóvil.
    Se anima a las familias a que decoren sus vehículos y se conviertan en parte de la diversión de auto-servicio y tal vez incluso ganen un premio. El evento incluirá música, vehículos diabólicamente decorados y obsequios especiales.
    Hora: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
    Ubicación: Estacionamiento del Centro de Conferencias y Recreación
