CVS Pharmacy Offers Drive-thru Coronavirus Testing

For immediate release: June 26, 2020

Moreno Valley residents can get tested for coronavirus infection in the comfort of their vehicles at the CVS Pharmacy in Lakeside Terrace Center at 26180 Iris Ave. Testing is for coronavirus only, not antibodies, and is reserved for those showing Covid-19 symptoms or people in other high-risk categories.

"When we heard that CVS was beginning to offer testing at some locations, we reached out to the company and suggested opening a Moreno Valley site, and they responded right away," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley.

"The CVS site brings a testing option to residents in the southern portion of our City," said District 4 City Councilmember Ulises Cabrera. "I'd like to sincerely thank CVS for all their help in getting our community tested."

Including the CVS testing site, Moreno Valley residents now have three free local options for getting tested for coronavirus (not antibodies). Appointments are required at all three sites:

  • Cottonwood Golf Center, 13671 Frederick St., Friday, June 26 - Saturday, June 27, and then Monday - Friday beginning Monday, June 29. Hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Appointments scheduled by phone at 888-634-1123 or online at lhi.care/covidtesting. Must meet eligibility requirements.
  • CrossWord Christian Church, 21401 Box Springs Road, open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Call to make an appointment: 1-800-945-6171. Open to all, regardless of symptoms.
  • CVS Pharmacy, Lakeside Terrace Center, 26180 Iris Ave. Testing daily, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Make an appointment online at www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing. Must meet eligibility requirements.

 


La Farmacia CVS Ofrece Pruebas de Coronavirus A

Los residentes de Moreno Valley pueden hacerse la prueba de infección por coronavirus en la comodidad de sus vehículos en la farmacia CVS en el centro de Lakeside Terrace en 26180 Iris Ave. Las pruebas son solo para coronavirus, no para anticuerpos, y está reservado para aquellos que muestran síntomas de Covid-19 o personas en otras categorías de alto riesgo.

"Cuando nos enteramos de que CVS estaba empezando a ofrecer pruebas en algunos lugares, nos comunicamos con la empresa y les sugerimos abrir un sitio en Moreno Valley, y respondieron de inmediato," dijo el Dr. Yxstian Gutiérrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley.
