Mayor Gutierrez Welcomes Fly-over Salute to Healthcare Workers

For immediate release: May 13, 2020

Noting that Moreno Valley is a military-friendly City, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez welcomes the fly-over salute to local healthcare workers by March Air Reserve Base (MARB) aircraft set for Thursday, May 14.

The fly-over of a KC-135 Stratotanker (refueling aircraft) and the C-17 Globemaster III (cargo aircraft) from MARB in Moreno Valley will begin at 1 p.m. and include 17 healthcare facilities in western Riverside County. Kaiser Hospital and Riverside University Health System - Medical Center in MoVal will get the day's final fly-over close to 2:30 p.m.

"I hope all residents who see or hear the fly-over will turn their thoughts to the brave women and men serving on the front lines of the fight to contain the coronavirus," said Mayor Gutierrez. "Healthcare workers are risking their own safety, working night and day to treat and protect the rest of us. They deserve a hero's salute like this."

 


El Alcalde Gutiérrez da La Bienvenida al Sobrevuelo que Honrará a los Trabajadores de la Salud

Señalando que Moreno Valley es una ciudad amigable para los militares, el alcalde Yxstian Gutiérrez da la bienvenida al saludo de sobrevuelo en honor a los trabajadores de la salud locales por parte de la Base de la Reserva Aérea de Marzo (MARB) programada para el jueves, 14 de mayo.

El sobrevuelo de un KC-135 Stratotanker (avión de reabastecimiento de combustible) y el C-17 Globemaster III (avión de carga) de MARB en Moreno Valley comenzará a la 1 p.m. e incluye 17 centros de salud del condado de Riverside. El Hospital Kaiser y El Centro Médico del Sistema de Salud de la Universidad de Riverside. MoVal tendrá el último sobrevuelo del día cerca de las 2:30 p.m.
