Mission Statement
The Mission of the Public Works Department is to manage and maximize Moreno Valley’s public infrastructure investment to enhance the quality of life today, while striving to develop and implement innovative solutions for tomorrow.
The Public Works Department is focused on project and program support of activities that are primarily in the public right-of-way. Such activities usually involve public infrastructure such as land development, street and median maintenance, solid waste disposal, electric utilities, transportation, traffic signals, tree trimming, capital project engineering, signing and striping, drainage, storm water, bridges, and graffiti removal.
Public Works develops, builds, and maintains the City’s infrastructure to the standards and expectations set forth by the City Council, and administers their support 24/7 with prompt, courteous, efficient service.
