This division’s primary responsibilities include centralized purchasing services through the use of requisitions, requests for proposals, and invitations to bid for all City operations; and ensuring full, open, and fair competition while maximizing the value received in the procurement process and conforming to the Purchasing Ordinance and accepted purchasing practices. Also included in this division’s responsibilities are the City-wide maintenance, repair, modification, modernization and revitalization of City-controlled facilities and buildings. The division provides management of in-house and contract services to meet emergency, routine and long-term facility maintenance and operations. In addition to the day-to-day maintenance operations, the division oversees a preventive maintenance program; procurement and installation of office furnishings; custodial, pest control and locksmith services; and fire and security systems. This division is also responsible for providing City-wide mail services.
