The Animal Services Division’s primary function is to provide rabies control, which involves the investigation of animal bites, control of stray animals, licensing, and public education. In addition to rabies control, Animal Services provides public veterinary services, pet adoptions, lost and found, humane education and enforcement of public safety, animal cruelty and nuisance ordinances.
